About Trudy Dolihan

The world lost a beloved mother, Trudy (Gertrude) Dolihan, on August 28th, 2021. She battled Alzheimer's disease, but it never stopped her from giving out the best hugs and she never stopped smiling. Born in Toronto in 1930, Trudy lead a life of adventure. From learning to drive (and taking her driver's test!) in a tow truck to her trips around the world, Trudy was a source of light in every life she touched. She worked as a bank teller, at Sears, then drove for Oakville Transit and finally Halton DSB driving school buses. At Christmas there would be 50 gifts under the tree just from the students that would be on her bus that year. Mom had the kindest soul, always helping any friends, relatives or stranger swhen they were in need. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, Shawn/ Leanne Dolihan, Emily/Rick Dolihan-Staley and Janet/Joseph Dolihan-King as well as all of her grand-children, Alanna Dolihan, Hailey Dolihan, Andrew (Drew) Dolihan, Ethan and Nolan Gerard. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Patrick Dolihan, her son Richard Bennett and both of her parents.
